Word Ferret

The online game Word Ferret is very addictive. Word speed, vocabulary, and inventiveness are all put to the test. Your sole objective should be to complete the word count within the given time. Longer words yield higher scores, with each word contributing one point.

Gameplay Overview Word Ferret

The game starts by choosing a room, each with its unique rules and grid layout:

• GREEN Room: five-by-five letter grid, words with four or more letters, three-minute rounds.
• GOLD The room is a 6×6 grid with words containing five or more letters. Unique Mode gives points for words that no other player has discovered.

There are 30 seconds between rounds, which are presently underway. When using Non-Unique Mode, the ranking is refreshed every 30 seconds. When you're in Unique Mode, duplicate terms are immediately detected.

Players form words by linking adjacent characters in horizontal, vertical, or diagonal orientations. Each letter may only be used once within a word. Several methods can be used to input words:

• Drag your mouse or finger along the letters.
• Use Tap Mode to click on each letter individually.
• Type the words directly into the input field.

Only 82,000 words from the Word Ferret dictionary are allowed. Plurals are allowed, but not proper nouns. Find an "S" and quickly generate high-scoring words.
