When you make a guess in Semantle, the app will show you how similar your guess is to the mystery word. Semantle took away the rule that words could only have five letters. Because of this, words can now be any length. Instead, you can guess as many times as you want, and the % tells you how close you were to guessing the word that goes with the hidden word. It is complicated because it is.
How Semantle is played
Each answer has to be just one word. Semantle will tell you if your word is similar in meaning to the secret word. It isn't spelled like other word games; instead, the focus is on what the words mean. Word2vec gives us comparisons. 100 is the most likely answer. In the end, you won because the words are the same. Even though -100 is the lowest number in theory, in practice it is usually closer to -34. If you get a very low score, which means you got the word right as an adjective or verb, the answer can be a noun.
The "Closing" indicator shows how close you are. If your term is one of the 1000 regular words that are closest to the target word, your ranking will be shown (1000 is the target word itself). If your term is not one of the nearest 1000 words, you will be considered "cold." (By "normal," I mean words that don't start with capital letters and can be found in a long list of English words. Even though they are close to each other, many words that are capitalized, misspelled, or hard to understand do not rank. This text is highlighted ("????").
