If you find Wordle too easy, you might like Absurdle better. To win, you basically have to guess a five-letter word, but the system changes the word each time because it doesn't want the user to succeed. There is no time limit, so you can play for as long as you want until you guess the right word.
Playing options
When you start the game, the system does not yet have a secret word. Instead, the mystery word is picked from the words you guess. Absurd's inner word list starts out with about 2,000 words and gets smaller as you write more.
To do this, you have to force the game to use the word you choose. A white screen will welcome you. The system is against you, so your first few sentences will almost certainly be all in gray. One quick and easy way to narrow down the list of possible words is to start with two words that don't share any letters. All words in the first two words with gray letters will be crossed out because of this.
Here's a tip for people who don't want to make their own guesses: Click the random guess button in the bottom right corner of the virtual keyboard to have the computer choose five-letter words at random for your rows. My pal.
Depending on which green or yellow word you pick as your guess, the word for "absurd" changes every time you don't. But what's the best part? You could make guesses all day. What a great time!
